We are excited to host you and your family this Sunday!
Check-in is available at 9:45 in the main lobby where you will receive nametags for your child(ren) and security tickets (you present this to the classroom teachers when you check-out which matches up with the code on your child’s nametag.)
We start our time with songs of praise and worship and we include the children in the Sanctuary with us for this portion. After a welcome and some brief announcements we invite parents to take their kids to their classroom.
We offer the following classrooms:
- Nursery (0-2 years old)
- Preschool (3-5 years old)
- Elementary (K-2nd grade)
- MidKids (3rd-5th grade)
You may retrieve your kid(s) after the conclusion of the service. Join us in the Fellowship Hall after service for coffee and donuts! If you are planning to join us for the first time please take a moment to complete a Kids Ministry Registration Form. This will help with the check-in process on Sunday morning. Please let us know if there is anything we can do to help make your visit more comfortable.
Our Curriculum
In our classrooms we use a curriculum called The Gospel Project (produced by Lifeway). The Gospel Project is a weekly Bible study that helps kids dive deep into the big story of the Bible and God’s plan to rescue His people through His Son, Jesus Christ. This three-year curriculum covers creation, Old Testament literature, covenant promises and the life and ministry of Jesus. Your child can join in at any time, as each lesson can stand alone as fun and engaging! A typical Sunday lesson in our Preschool and Early Elementary classrooms includes a brief video teaching, a moderately physical activity, and a craft – all related to the lesson. On their way out the door, kids will be given an Activity Page to keep the learning going at home! Our Nursery kids enjoy a less structured play time as formal teaching is reserved for our Preschool and up rooms.
Our Volunteers
Our volunteers consist of congregation members who are eager to share the love and knowledge of God with our littlest members! Our volunteers have passed a national background check, had their references checked, and completed training to equip them to serve the children of our church. Our classrooms adhere to the following adult to child ratios: Nursery 1:3, Preschool 1:7, Elementary 1:10, and MidKids 1:10. We do not facilitate diaper changes or bathroom breaks, and your child will never be alone with a volunteer. We are thankful to have junior volunteers as well, and they are held to the same policies and standards as our adult volunteers.
Looking for options for older kids? We’ve got you covered! Each Sunday our kids 6th grade and up gather for a pre-service devotional (9:45am in the Chapel). From there they sit in service together and some will serve as Jr. Volunteers in the Kids Ministry classrooms. We also offer a Youth Group for grades 6 through 12 every Sunday night.
