Members Meeting, Dating Seminar, the new C&C app, and CG Questions

Cross & Crown,

By now you should have noticed that we’ve made a change to how we make announcements on Sunday mornings. You can now find all of our announcements and info in the NEW C&C app. That means that you'll no longer have to wait for Sunday to find out what's going on. You can now launch the app to find out all that is happening at the church.

We designed the new app with YOU in mind! We want you to be more deeply connected to the body of Christ. So you can now listen to all of our sermons, live stream every service, find Community Group Questions, see upcoming events and more!

Just so you know, some changes were made in the app store and you may want to make sure you have the latest version (Android users will need to download the newest version). Click here to find out.

Great news... our Member's Meeting is back on!

On Monday, March 4th, we'll be having our semi-annual Members Meeting. If you’re a member at Cross & Crown Church, join us for a night of worship where we'll learn what God is doing at Cross & Crown.

There will be snacks, worship, info updates, and Kids Min available. Message us here or at info@crossandcrownseattle.com if you have any questions.

On Friday, March 8th, Cross & Crown Church will be hosting a Dating Seminar where we'll be discussing dating and the biblical approach to dating well, lovingly, with a servants heart, and biblically in 2019. We'll have a live Q&A panel where we'll attempt to answer any questions you might have on dating, relationships, and marriage.

We'd love for you to join us, invite your friends, and even bring your date as we explore God's word and how he has designed sex and relationships.

With this link, you can submit any questions you'd like answered during our Q&A Panel. We'll see you Friday, March 8th, at 7pm.

CG Questions: Biblical Relationships
Week 1 - Dating

Questions:

  • How have you viewed dating in the past? What is the purpose of dating?

  • How do we approach a topic like dating when the Bible doesn’t specifically address it?

  • If having your relationship with God in order is a pre-requisite for dating, what should a relationship with God in order look like?

  • According to CS Lewis’ 4 Loves (see below), what order do you or have you had in the process of dating? What was the benefit or problem with that in your life?

  • From where do you derive your value as a woman or a man? From accomplishments or achievements? From a spouse or significant other? How does God inform your value?

  • If you have made mistakes in dating and purity, how can you move forward in a relationship with Jesus? What hope do we have in this area?

  • Do you struggle with dating, if so what do you struggle with? Is there a lie that you are believing from culture that you need to have God’s Word shed on?

“Adam has no one of his nature to and substance to think about. He has no one in his likeness to love, serve, and honor. Left alone, his thoughts would be too wrapped around himself. He was not as full an image-bearer of God’s glory as God desired.” -John Henderson, Catching Foxes, p. 70
